| Scientific Name Notes | Ivanov & Campbell (2000) recognize this species as a member of Tetragonocephalum in their table I but DID NOT explicitly indicate the new nominal taxon as a new combination, as required by Article 16.1 of the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature (ICZN, 1999). Jensen (2005) used the combination "Tetragonocephalum simile (Pintner, 1928) Ivanov & Campbell, 2001[sic]" in a list of valid species. In the interest of stability, Tetragonocephalum simile (Pintner, 1928) Ivanov & Campbell, 2000 should be used as the valid name. |
