Scientific Name Notes This species was originally described as Rhynchobotrius minutus van Beneden, 1850. It was put into new combination several times until it was moved to Christianella by Guiart (1931). It stayed in Christianella until 1994, when Campbell & Beveridge synonomized the genus Christianella with the genus Grillotia, implicitly creating the new combination Grillotia minuta (van Beneden, 1850) Campbell & Beveridge, 1994, as well as new combinations for all other species previously assigned to the genus Christianella. Beveridge & Campbell assigned it to the subgenus Christianella and redescribed it in 2010.
