Specimens

Type Material We were unable to locate Magath’s (1924) typematerial of Ophiotaenia testudo (now Testudotaenia testudo), either in the USNPC(Beltsville, MD)or in the Harold W. Manter Collection (Lincoln, NE). According to Achonolu (1970), the Magath’s specimens are believed lost.
