Redescription
Scientific Name Notes Southwell (1929) lists "Tetrarhynchus macroporus Shipley and Hornell, 1906" and "Tetrarhynchus annandalei Hornell, 1912" as synonyms of this name. However, Beveridge and Campbell (1998) (citation #4345) redescribed Tetrarhynchus macroporus Shipley and Hornell, 1906 and moved it to the genus Trygonicola, and in their redescription they state that Southwell's specimens were actually only representative of "Hornelliella annandalei (Hornell, 1912) Yamaguti, 1954" (known to Southwell as its junior synonym "Tetrarhynchus annandalei Hornell, 1912").
