Host Notes Hosts given by Wagener in the original description are "Scymnus rostrati" (now valid as Somniosus rostratus) and "Scymnus nicaeensis" (now valid as Dalatias licha), but he does not formally designate a type host between the two of them. Pintner (1913) includes Centrophorus granulosus and "Scymnorhinus lichia" (now valid as Dalatias licha) as hosts for this species when he moves it to the genus Sphyriocephalus. See redescription in Dallarés et al. (2017) for list of additional hosts.
