Scientific Name Notes

Guptaia was allied with Tetragonocephalum by Malhotra, but Euzet suggested it is a member of an order other than the Lecanicephalidea. Jensen (2005) considered the genus to be a non-lecanicephalidea genus with historic ties to the order; it is unrecognizable based on the original description of its type species and, given the type host is a teleost, an unlikely a lecanicephalidean |
