Redescription
Scientific Name Notes Linton first used this name in 1889 (Citation 267) but failed to describe either the genus or its type, R. pulvinatum and thus this name was not formally established until his 1890 publication (Citation No. 1011), where noting that he felt he had been "misled" (pg. 759) by the morphology he placed his new species in Anthobothrium, but also mentioned Rhodobothrium and R. pulvinatum. Determined to be a genus of the Rhinebothriidea by Healy et al (2009) and Ruhnke (2011).
