| Scientific Name Notes | Linton included ONLY a description of a species he referred to as "Thysanocephalum crispum Lt." (pg. 823) after the diagnosis of "Thysanocephalum, gen. nov.". He included "Phyllobothrium thysanocephalum Lt." in smaller letters below the heading for T. crispum. However, to our knowledge this is the first use of the name "crispum" and it appears he used it for Phyllobothrium thysanocephalum. Which would be an incorrect replacement name. Thysanocephalum crispum is thus a Nomen nudum. |
