| Scientific Name Notes | Southwell (1930) lists Spongiobothrium lintoni Southwell, 1912 as a synonym of Phyllobothrium lintoni (Southwell, 1912); although Southwell (1925) considered Spongiobothrium Linton, 1889 to be a synonym of Anthobothrium Van Beneden, 1849, Southwell (1930) lists Anthobothrium Van Beneden, 1849 as a synonym of Phyllobothrium Van Beneden, 1849; consistent with this synonomy he then uses the name Phyllobothrium lintoni (Southwell, 1912). Ruhnke (2011) stated that this species be retained in Spongiobothrium at present, with its status being incertae sedis. |
