Redescription
Scientific Name Notes Diesing (1854) lists Acanthobothrium eschrichtii and Calliobothrium eschrichtii under his entry for Onchobothrium elegans. It is possible he considers the former two species to be synonyms of O. elegans but never explicitly states so. Although Diesing (1854) does not explicitly indicate that this as a new name, this is the first use we can find. The description is brief and accompanied by no illustrations. We consider this to be a Nomen dubium.
