Redescription
Scientific Name Notes Southwell (1925) designates Rhinebothrium shipleyi Southwell, 1911 [sic] as a junior synonym of Echeneibothrium minutum van Beneden, 1850 thus implicitly creating the new combination. [Young (1956) uses this combination but doesn’t explicitly indicate that it is a new combination; but we find this to be the first use of this combination.]
