Scientific Name Notes -Leidy reported this as a larval form -La Rue (1914, p.145-146) synonymized Taenia micropteri with P. ambloplitis -Freze (1965) and Schmidt (1986) ignored this decision, and Freze (1965) listed Proteocephalus micropteri (Leidy, 1887) La Rue, 1911 as a species inquirenda
