Scientific Name Notes -Belopol’skaya (1973) re-examined the type series and suggested that the material from East Murman and Primorye might not be conspecific - Belopol’skaya (1973) expanded her original description from 1953 to include additional data on the number and length of the rostellar hooks of this species -Ryzhikov & Tolkacheva (1981) synonymized Proterogynotaenia sp. with Proterogynotaenia variabilis
