| Scientific Name Notes | Several aspects of the scolex morphology and proglottid anatomy suggest the type species of Kystocephalus, K. tranlucens, to resemble that of several different lecanicephalidean genera and thus should not be considered a synonym of any one at this time. Jensen (2005) considered the genus Kystocephalus to be a genus inquirendum and listed its type species as a species inquirenda. |
