| Scientific Name Notes | Southwell (1925) synonymizes the genus Parataenia with Polypocephalus, and the species Parataenia elongatus with the species Polypocephalus radiatus. In doing so, although he does not formally use the combination Polypocephalus elongatus, he creates this new combination (see Jensen, 2005). |
