Redescription
Scientific Name Notes Jensen (2005) considered this to be a species inquirenda. The authors neither explicitly fixed a holotype to syntypes, nor included a statement of intent that types will be (or are) deposited in a collection and a statement indicating the name and location of that collection. Thus, type material is essentially NOT available. This species is essentially unrecognizable based on its original description and unlikely a species found to parasitize a orectolobiform shark, rather than a batoid. In addition, despite what it says in the publication and inquiries, type material is NOT available at stated place of deposition. The species is therefore considered a species inquirenda.
