| Locality Notes | -The distribution of T. meridionalis is limited to water bodies in the south of the European part of the USSR. Most often, the parasite occurs in the deltas of rivers flowing south (delta of the Dnieper, Kuban, Dniester, Southern Bug, Volga, etc.), although it can also spread to the middle reaches of these rivers (except for the Volga) along with their second intermediate hosts - gobies . |
